The world’s largest nanotechnology event took place this year in Tokyo (Japan). The nanotech2025 conference and exhibition was held at the East Halls & Conference Tower of Tokyo Big Sight in Japan from January 29th to January 31st 2025.

ATIMA was present in this edition, thanks to the colleagues from nanoNET-Austria who organised, for the thris time at the nanotech, a booth for exhibitors from Austria, with the support of the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) in the framework of the ATIMA project.

In the booth, they were able to present the research organizations Material Center Leoben, Silicon Austria Labs, Joanneum Research and nanoNET-Austria and the companies Stratec and C-sense, as well as the ATIMA project to many of the interested visitors!

Additionally, nanoNET colleagues Rudolf Heer and Anton Köck had two oral presentations:

  • Dr. Heer, from Silicon Austria Lab, spoke about the “SAL Micro- and Nano-fabrication Center offering nano structuring tools in clean room as a service”
  • Prof. Köck from Material Center Leoben gave a presenation on “Chemical Nanosensors for Consumer Electronic Applications” at ANF Workshop on nanotech & Deeptech Commercialization.

Overall, the 17th Nanotech Association Conference, the nanotech2025, was a great success and the number of visitors exceeded 42.000 in three days. The exhibition shall be conducted in 2026 again.
