Our organisation
nanoNET-Austria is the networking association for implementation-oriented research. We see convergence and integration of nanotechnology as a new opportunity, which requires intensive cooperation between commercial or industrial users, producers and research institutions.
We:
- strengthen the knowledge base and skills for nanotechnology,
- foster the diffusion of technological knowledge and strengthening cooperation between science and business,
- strengthen the interdisciplinarity,
- enable support for the implementation of nanotechnologies,
- provide access to know-how and cooperation partners,
- increase the international visibility of Austrian nano competence.
Our role in ATIMA
- Communication and networking:
We are continuing the nanoNET meeting series with 2 meetings each in Western and Eastern Austria. The nanoNET meetings are aimed at participants from science and industry alike. The primary goal of this meeting series is to motivate and moderate the diffusion of knowledge and problems in both directions between research and application. The secondary goal is to support young researchers during their first steps in their academic careers. - Increasing international visibility:
We are organizing the nanotech 2025 and 2026 conference and exhibitions for the Austrian technology platforms and to finance an exhibition stand through the proposed project. We conduct the negotiations with the organizer in Tokyo, the booth layout, as well as the design and coordination of the audio-visual presentation and the maintenance of the data for the exhibitor catalogue.
