On 22 June 2026, Andreas Falk, ATIMA coordinator, delivered a keynote lecture on “Advanced Materials in Europe” at Karl Landsteiner University in Krems, Austria. The event was organised by Prof. Gerald Obermair from the Department of Physiology and took place in the context of ATIMA and InnoMatSyn’s efforts to contribute to a Europe-wide Advanced Materials ecosystem.
The presentation provided an overview of the growing relevance of Advanced Materials (AdMa) in Europe and current activities supporting their development and application.
The lively discussion following the lecture highlighted the significant potential for further research into the interaction between Advanced Materials and physiological systems. It also opened the door for future collaboration between ATIMA and Karl Landsteiner University, particularly in knowledge transfer, education and training.
The event demonstrated the value of connecting different disciplines and expertise to advance Europe’s Advanced Materials ecosystem.
