On 14 April 2026, the second FAME-Ecosys Event took place in Lund, Sweden, bringing together stakeholders from across Europe to explore how advanced materials can be accelerated from research to market. The event was organised through a collaboration between the IAM-I Association, IAM4Sweden, the InnoMatSyn project, and SIO Grafen, and provided a valuable platform for exchanging experiences and strengthening connections between the Scandinavian and European advanced materials ecosystems.
ATIMA played an active role in the event, represented by Andreas Falk (BNN and InnoMatSyn coordinator), who contributed to discussions aimed at fostering closer collaboration between the Austrian and Swedish advanced materials communities. In addition to presenting the Austrian ecosystem through ATIMA, he also highlighted developments at the European level through the InnoMatSyn project, demonstrating how national and European initiatives can complement one another.
A key contribution from ATIMA (Andreas Falk) was the moderation of the session “Regional, National and European Ecosystems – How to Work Seamlessly Together”. The discussion explored approaches for improving coordination and cooperation across different governance levels, reflecting one of ATIMA’s core objectives: connecting stakeholders and creating synergies across the advanced materials landscape.
The event offered valuable opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange, and the development of future collaborations. By showcasing Austrian expertise and contributing to strategic discussions on ecosystem building, ATIMA strengthened its international visibility and reinforced its role as a bridge between national and European advanced materials initiatives, preparing the further collaboration between Sweden and Austria.
A detailed recap of the event is available on the InnoMatSyn website.
