The “Auto Reborn” conference, co-organized by A2LT, focused on the challenges and competencies required to bring recycled plastics back into automotive applications, highlighting current developments in circular economy approaches for the mobility sector. Organized by the Upper Austria Plastics Cluster in cooperation with the Automotive Cluster, A2LT and ÖCC², the event brought together experts from industry, research and recycling technology. Key topics included new EU regulations, recycling technologies, PCR compounds, and the automotive industry’s requirements for sustainable and high-performance plastic solutions. Presentations and industry case studies demonstrated practical approaches for transitioning from virgin materials to recycled materials along the entire value chain. The conference emphasized the growing importance of innovative lightweight and advanced materials solutions for enabling sustainable and resource-efficient mobility in the future.
