On 27 May 2026, the Styrian Business Promotion Agency (SFG) launched the provincial focus topic “Advanced Materials” in Graz, Austria. Around 50 key stakeholders gathered to kick off this strategic initiative aimed at strengthening regional collaboration in the field of advanced materials.

The focus topic builds on previous interactions in which ATIMA and InnoMatSyn projects, represented by Andreas Falk (BNN), engaged with the Austrian Province of Styria and regional Minister for Science and Economy Willibald Ehrenhöfer. These exchanges contributed to positioning advanced materials as a key technological field within Austria’s Industrial Strategy 2035 and the broader national economic strategy published at the end of 2025. ATIMA is also actively involved in the preparation of the Austrian Roadmap on Advanced Materials.

The launch event marked an important step in aligning regional efforts with national and European initiatives. Through its involvement, ATIMA plays a central role in ensuring coherence between regional, national, and European advanced materials ecosystems, while InnoMatSyn provides the European-level connection.

A key next milestone in this collaboration will be the jointly implemented FAME-Ecosys Event, scheduled for 17 November 2026 in Graz, which will further strengthen cross-level cooperation and ecosystem development in advanced materials.
