On 8 April 2026, the AM-Austria “AM get-together” (AM-Stammtisch) took place in Vienna, Austria, focusing on the topics of defence and security. The event featured presentations by Ms DI Dr Birgit Wollein (Head of the Central Technical Affairs Department (BMLV)) and Ms Sonja Linskeseder (Deputy Head of the Crisis Management & Security Crisis Management & Security Planning Unit (StbKS), Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, WKÖ), who provided valuable insights from the public and institutional perspective. The programme also included a presentation by Željko Šarić (IFT – Institute of Manufacturing Technology and Photonic Technologies, TU Vienna) on the mobile robotic welding cell project.
The exchange between industry representatives and public institutions was highly enriching and highlighted the importance of cross-sector collaboration in the field of advanced manufacturing.
ATIMA’s role was reflected through its contribution to strengthening and expanding the network, demonstrating how such interactions support the continued growth of the community.
