On 24 March 2026, the working group on education and training (Arbeitsgruppe Aus- und Weiterbildung) held a productive network meeting at Graz University of Technology (Austria) focusing on initial and continuing education in advanced manufacturing.
Discussions covered a broad range of topics, including design and manufacturing, industrial strategy, additive manufacturing, and sustainability. Participants agreed that training activities in the field would benefit from improved coordination across institutions and stakeholders.
The ATIMA project was visibly represented on site with a dedicated roll-up display and was actively integrated into the discussions. In particular, material properties considered within ATIMA were addressed as part of the broader dialogue on education and skills development in advanced manufacturing.
The meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration between academia and industry. Special thanks go to Prof. Franz Haas, Graz University of Technology, for hosting the event and enabling this exchange.
