The 33rd Leoben Conference highlighted how rapidly composite material development is advancing toward circularity, bio-based resin systems, and digitally supported manufacturing. Key topics included new recycling strategies for carbon fibers, validated closed-loop concepts, and dynamic resin systems enabling repair, reprocessing, and chemical recycling. Researchers also presented sustainable resin innovations based on renewable resources as well as high-performance composite solutions for applications ranging from automotive components to cryogenic hydrogen storage. Another focus was the growing use of digital tools and AI for process optimization, defect detection, and advanced simulation in composite production.

ATIMA was represented with an information desk at the Kunststoff-Cluster booth and used the event to stay up to date on current developments while strengthening its connections within the composites community.
