AM-Austria is a technology platform to promote and support the Austrian additive manufacturing industry. AM-Austria has established itself as a leader in additive manufacturing (AM) by uniting key stakeholders from industry, academia, education, media, and politics within a single organization. With 92 institutional members and strong collaboration with the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation, and Technology (BMK), AM-Austria serves as the central hub for the national AM sector. Its mission is to foster interdisciplinary exchange, facilitate international knowledge transfer, and strengthen Austria’s position as a competitive force in the global AM industry.

AM-Austria’s inclusivity extends to international companies and experts, enabling a global exchange of resources and innovations. This collaboration benefits Austria’s economy, where medium-sized enterprises and specialized industries play a pivotal role, by making the AM supplier and user sectors more resilient and internationally competitive.

In September 2024, a new board was elected to guide the platform’s next term. The leadership team, comprising Dr. Johannes Gartner (President), Dr. Arko Steinwender, DI Benjamin Losert, DI Michael Kitzmantel, and Thomas Gruber, along with platform manager Ing. Agnes Parfy, aims to build on AM-Austria’s successful initiatives.
