The European Forum Alpbach once again brought together politics, business, academia, and students from around the world in the scenic Tyrolean mountains to discuss current and future challenges and opportunities.
Opening speeches by Governor Anton Mattle, EFA President Othmar Karas, and Marcus Hofer highlighted the importance of developing new technologies for both the EU and Austria. The Province of Tyrol is positioning itself as a leading European life sciences hub, with initiatives like the Health Hub Tirol, led by Klaus Weinberger, which supports startups through infrastructure, consulting, funding, and guidance.
A highlight of the day was the Industry 4.0 Platform’s “Praxis Breakfast,” chaired by Roland Sommer, attended by the Smart Textiles Platform Austria along with other platforms such as GMARobotics and Digital Health and Care Austria.
