The Zukunft.Ressourcen 2025 event in Mauthausen clearly demonstrated the importance of innovative material development for a resilient and sustainable industry. The focus was on solutions to raw material scarcity – from scrap as a climate-relevant secondary raw material to AI-supported sorting and new recycling technologies for plastics. Particular emphasis was placed on projects such as KIRAMET, which uses AI to enable high-quality metal recovery from urban mines, as well as approaches to creating closed plastic cycles. ATIMA was represented with a roll-up banner. The event made it clear that the future of materials development lies in intelligent, circular, and data-based solutions—and ATIMA is an active partner in this transformation process.
