On 25 September 2025, the 45th A2LT Plenary Meeting took place at the Institute of Production Engineering and Photonic Technologies (IFT) of the TU Wien, bringing together experts from research, industry, and policy to explore the latest trends in lightweight manufacturing. The event offered inspiring insights into additive and subtractive manufacturing processes, the use of advanced materials such as magnesium, and emerging technological innovations shaping the sector.
A special highlight was the “Regional Reality” workshop held within the framework of the Interreg Europe – Lightweight EU project, where participants discussed key challenges and policy measures to strengthen Europe’s lightweighting ecosystem thus connecting also the Austrian ATIMA community internationally.
